My family was on welfare when i was a kid. My dad was disabled and had five kids to feed when he lost all means of support. I watched dad work very hard to learn a new skill to bypass his disability, and fight his way out of the welfare system. Incredibly the social worker for my family threatened to have us kids removed if dad went to work. Yes the system works to keep itself alive. Guess that's why i have always been self employed. like Steve said, everyone should read this post. Great work Lynn. When my youngest was four years old she was a shy child. Once we went to the mall and there was a song contest. She really wanted to compete but hid behind me obviously torn.
