Lynn,
This is very true… Happiness is hard to define I think. We all need to have some level of yearning to conquer new challenges yet we cannot be dissatisfied with the fact that we haven’t achieved them yet.
That is why it is so important to only set goals that we intend to carry out. And why we need to abandon failures and learn from them, but leave them behind mentally.
Making the decision to abandon something that isn’t working or that you aren’t committed to any longer can cause great happiness…

I’ve always believed that if you’re not happy yourself you can’t be happy in a relationship. People tend to think that intangible thing “the relationship” isn’t right, when really their own happiness is the problem.
I look forward to consuming more of your posts.

Lynn,
Thank you for the inspirational post.

Lynn,
You raise some very interesting points about choosing to be happy and how that impacts those around us. My husband often reminds me that really the only thing in life WE can control is our attitude toward our circumstances and those around us. Your wise advice will definitely keep me going over the next 60+ days!

Great topic. I am one of the happiest people I know. After a rather unhappy childhood, I refuse to be unhappy anymore for any length of time. I use kind of a “stop think” process (a bit culty but it works for me) to keep the bad thoughts away. I feel happy almost all the time. What is that song that has that wonderful line in it that says something like “it’s not having what you want, it’s wanting what you’ve got…” Love it!

Awesome!
For me Happiness is a choice we make each and everyday! Life is way to short and precious not to spend it making the right choice in your mind daily!

How true the saying!
Feeling stays at the subtle body, the unconscious mind; the facts, the incidents stay at the conscious mind. Feelings stay around much longer after our memory fades.
