Success and Wealth
Posted on May 7th, 2009 16 commentsSuccess and Wealth

Ken Fisher, Author of The Ten Roads to Riches says, “This is a perfect time to say, I am going to start my own business.”
We know some ways to have wealth -
- 1- Marry into a wealthy family.
- 2- Make sure your parents are wealthy.
- 3- Lottery
- 4- Become a big celebrity.
- 5- Steal it.
Research shows that your odds are better for creating wealth if you start your own business. Fisher agrees that one of the best ways to find your road to riches is to create your own wealth by founding your own company.
Then you need hard work, reinvesting and taking care of your customers.
Find the people that have gone before you and created wealth. Learn from their mistakes and their success too. I think it was Jim Rohn who said, “Find what the rich people do and do that.”
Build you Empire!
Have a Great Day!

I like your list and concept. But I would add…
1. A supportive partner is an asset beyond measure.
2. The knowledge your parents pass on to you has a value you can never repay.
3. Life can be a lottery; do what you can to tip the odds in your favour and be grateful when you get lucky. And the more you work the luckier you’ll get!
4. Get known for being good at what you do.
5. Steal a march on the competition whenever you can, by being decisive and following things through!
But all of that only works if you put yourself in a position where you can capitalise on your “assets”.
Very thought-provoking!

Yeah, my best bet is starting my own business and I’m trying! I’m already married, my parents weren’t wealthy, I’m terribly unlucky, and I don’t steal.

I don’t play the lottery and don’t see any heiresses in my future so I best get my ass in gear! Much more satisfaction and gratitude when you earn it.

A friend has a different (and a little more graphic) name for #2 above – he calls such people “victims of lucky sperm disease!”
Sadly, building wealth as an entrepreneur often follows a predictable pattern – it’s usually the first generation that sacrifices extensively to achieve their goals. The second generation has firsthand knowledge of what it took to build it and generally is able to build some on it. But the third generation has never known anything but the privileges and perks that the wealth has brought and ends up squandering it.

I started my own business because i’m virtually unemployable. i have never been able to comply with the 9 to 5 and i’m an extreme nonconformist. nothing compares to the freedom of writing your own song and singing it however you want.
