Toxic People/Friends
Posted on July 7th, 2009 11 commentsToxic People/Friends.
As we travel on this journey of life we encounter people that we have a common interest with. The relationships we form during this time will be important to our future success.
Some of the relationships we form while in this moment will be toxic. When you have a toxic friend or find yourself involved with toxic people you will find yourself drained emotionally, physically and spiritually.
You will spend most of your energy trying to stay positive after being drained from these people which will influence other areas of your life.
If you have friends that have more than 1 of the following attitudes, it may be advantageous to drop them from your day to day circle of people you associate with. You will benefit a great deal in your life when you do.
1 – They are in a constant storm of complaining. They complain about all things before they hear the facts.
2 –They are always short with other people when communicating.
3 – They never like the fact that you spend time with other people.
4 –They quickly go from calm to hostile.
5 –They make you the brunt of jokes in front of others.
6 –They make you feel like a total drain after talking to them.
7 –They always dominate the conversation.
8 -They never seem to like other people at all.
If your friend has more than one of these attitudes you will start to feel the change within yourself after a few days without them around. Start to wean yourself away from these people before they drain all the energy from you.
It may be difficult to do in the beginning, but it is necessary for your life of success.

A Quitter Never Wins
Posted on June 15th, 2009 10 commentsA Quitter Never……..
Have you ever had a bad day?
A day when all you want to do is just throw your hands up and say to the universe, I quit!
Enough! I’ve had it! I give up!
Sure you have and so have I. I have to confess that about every few months I have some of those days.
I was in that mood today until I picked up a book on my desk and as it opened I read a quote that said, “A quitter never wins….and a winner never quits.”
Most people think I never have a down day because I’m the one that tries to help people feel good or motivated and inspired about who they are.
I have those days when I just want to shut myself off and take a long break.
I also think that we need to have the down time, “I don’t feel like it” time and the “I don’t care today” time. It’s part of our personality and out nature.
The key is not to stay there. I learned a long time ago that we should set a time limit on how long we are going to stay in that state of mind.
That choice will keep you on track to move forward into a new state of mind. A state of mind that will benefit you and your successful journey through life!
Enjoy the journey!

Success/Things That Matter.
Posted on June 3rd, 2009 13 commentsThe Charles Schultz Philosophy. The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the “Peanuts” comic strip.
You don’t have to actually answer the questions. Just read straight through and you’ll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade’s worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here’s another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.
Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life.
“Don’t worry about the world coming to an end today. It’s already tomorrow in Australia.” (Charles Schultz)

Memorial Day. Never Forget!
Posted on May 23rd, 2009 15 commentsI am so proud to be an American and what it stands for.
In America, we can live as King and Queens. We have freedom that most take for granted.
Did you know that immigrants that come to this country( legally) are 4 time more likely to become wealthy than if you were born here? That’s because they see the opportunity and the freedom to work for their dreams.
Some people born here think that they shouldn’t have to work and that they are owed. They are the first to complain without ever having a solution. They never invest time or money to give back.
But, that’s for some other time. Watch this video and remember a vet today!
If you can’t see the screen go here <–
Have a safe weekend.
Enjoy the Journey.

Calm and Success
Posted on May 14th, 2009 15 commentsThe following is by James Lane Allen from his book “As a Man Thinketh”
“A man becomes calm in the measure that he understands himself as a thought evolved being, for such knowledge necessitates the understanding of others as the result of thought, and as he develops a right understanding, and sees more and more clearly the internal relations of things by the action of cause and effect he ceases to fuss and fume and worry and grieve, and remains poised, steadfast, serene.
The calm man, having learned how to govern himself, knows how to adapt himself to others; and they, in turn, reverence his spiritual strength, and feel that they can learn of him and rely upon him. The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is his success, his influence, his power for good. Even the ordinary trader will find his business prosperity increase as he develops a greater self-control and equanimity, for people will always prefer to deal with a man whose demeanour is strongly equable.
The strong, calm man is always loved and revered. He is like a shade-giving tree in a thirsty land, or a sheltering rock in a storm. “Who does not love a tranquil heart, a sweet-tempered, balanced life?
It does not matter whether it rains or shines, or what changes come to those possessing these blessings, for they are always sweet, serene, and calm. That exquisite poise of character, which we call serenity is the last lesson of culture, the fruitage of the soul.
It is precious as wisdom, more to be desired than gold–yea, than even fine gold. How insignificant mere money seeking looks in comparison with a serene life–a life that dwells in the ocean of Truth, beneath the waves, beyond the reach of tempests, in the Eternal Calm!”
Some very wise words to live by.
Have a great day!
Lynn
